In today’s world, self-care seems to have become a frowned upon concept, and yet, it is the best way to ensure you can take care of others in your life! What exactly is “self-care”? Today we are going to look at just that! A bath with candles or a day out on the boat are certainly things that help you feel “cared for” but that is NOT all that self care entails!
Self-Care Can Be Hard
Where Do I Begin?
If you haven’t been administering self-care, it can be difficult to know where to begin. A good place would be to sit down and take stock of your habits by writing them down and seeing how much self-care you are already doing that you may not even be conscience of. You go to the gym already every morning? Great! Keep that up! You only get 4 hours of sleep each night? Uh-oh, that has to change! Do this in every area of your life and then commit to changing the areas that make you less than your best self.
Bottom line, just like being a caregiver of someone else is a commitment, administering self-care the RIGHT way is also a commitment, and it is one that you and your loved ones will NOT regret you taking the time to make!
